Biography

Born and raised in KwaZulu-Natal, Umlazi. DJ Bonnie is set to be one of the golden DJ / Producers in the country. He has been in Johannesburg since 2010 when he studied Music Production and Music Business at Soul Candi Institute of Music. Although only recently getting attention from his music in digital online stores, DJ Bonnie has been involved in a number of successful musical projects. His passion for Afro house music and Local house music is deeply rooted, influenced by African rhythms and predominantly focusing on grooves which he describes as essences of the African soul. The spirit and sensuality of his sound have gained him acclaimed recognition.

In 2016 DJ Bonnie became a Top 5 South African DJ and Producer on the TV Show called “Masters Of Spin 1’s and 2’s which was live on a South African number one channel SABC 1 Mzansi Fo Sho.

Music wise DJ Bonnie has released on some of the leading international labels such as MoBlack Records (Italy), Kemet Soul Records (London, UK), Open Bar Music (NYC), Seres Producoes (Angola) and Ocha Records / Ocha Mzansi (NYC). It has remixed artists such as Dave Anthony, Oscar P, JazzCool, El Deep, Dark Arrows. With much more to offer, DJ Bonnie will be releasing a number of singles and EP’s on various labels worldwide.
